SHA Extra Plus Hotel

Mera Mare Pattaya is proud to be a SHA Plus certification hotel.Due to the situation it is essential for businesses to be careful in terms of sanitation and hygiene. Keeping this in mind, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has introduced the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration certification (SHA). Since Tourism behaviour has changed, hotels have raised the bar for cleanliness. Now, SHA Plus certification hotels are considered as benchmarks for good hygiene and safety standard. This is to give confidence to tourists travelling around the country.

The aim of SHA Plus is to upgrade Thai tourism industry’s hygiene standards. TAT is collaborating with the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports for this project. As well as, collaborating with Board of Trade of Thailand and Thai tourism operators. The aim of this project is to reduce the risk and prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus. This is done by integrating safety, sanitation and public health measures within an establishment’s service standards. Moreover, it ensures that both Thai and foreign tourists have confidence in the safety of the products and services of Thailand. By implementing additional hygiene and prevention measures Mera Mare Pattaya has become a SHA Plus certification hotel.

After working closely with local authorities and undergoing rigorous inspections, we are proud to announce that Hotel Mera Mare Pattaya is SHA-certified – a mark of quality certification by the Tourism Authority of Thailand that recognises our service standards and excellence in health and safety measures.

That being said, we are following a comprehensive list of health and safety practices that include, but are not limited to:

  • According to Thailand's government policy, the use of face masks is voluntary in all areas. However, the hotel continues providing the face mask upon request. 
  • Regular sanitisation of guest rooms with hospital-grade disinfectants
  • Frequent disinfection protocols of high contact points in public areas, including elevator buttons, restrooms and hand railings
  • Provision of alcohol-based hand sanitisers in all guest contact areas
  • Implementation of social distancing measures in all public areas and our restaurants
